25 deg. At the start wind was about 10 mph. Started out strong runinning 6:40s going out but the course gets hilly and we had to turn back into a solid wind at the turn around. Lots of turns on this course so the leaders may have had some trouble staying within the cones with leader Jason B. A couple of minutes out in front. My Garmin was still set for low battery Ultratrac from my recent RR100 so course measurements weren't in order when I finished. It was great to see a few of my old co workers and the officers greeting the finishers seemed to enjoy a retiree nearing 60 finished in the top 10. I thinks Jason B. and myself could come up with a faster course than the one we ran today that would use less volunteers and turns. I'm very happy with my performance today. I'm not a cold runner and today was an icebox. |
